Diagnosis and possible symptoms
The injection pump supplies the fuel pressure required by the engine. Difficult starting, stalling, loss of power or pressure-related fault codes can be caused by the pump or other parts of the system. Check the fuel supply, filter, lines, electrical connections and system cleanliness before replacing the pump.
Remanufacturing
Remanufacturing includes initial inspection, dismantling, cleaning and assessment of the components. Worn components are replaced as required, and the pump is assembled and calibrated. Operation and leak tightness are then checked on a test bench suitable for the pump type.

Compare the manufacturer's number on the old pump with the listing. The VIN, engine code and a photo of the identification plate help confirm the correct version.
This depends on the vehicle's system. The workshop should check the manufacturer's installation, diagnostic and post-replacement procedures. There is no single procedure for every pump.
Identify why the previous pump failed, check fuel cleanliness and replace the filter according to the manufacturer's instructions. Fitting another part will not remove contamination from the system.
Do not fit the pump into a contaminated system. The workshop should assess, clean or replace affected components and check the injectors according to the manufacturer's procedure.
Yes, especially if the previous pump suffered mechanical failure or there were metal particles in the fuel. A workshop should assess the injectors and other components before starting the engine.
